My first post. Mark it down in history, y'all! I am so excited for this blog, as I have no idea who will actually read it/like it, but it at least forces me to write out some thoughts in a somewhat comprehendable manner, record life events, and keep track of my health and fitness endeavors (with, I'm sure, a few crafty projects thrown in every now and then). So I figure for this momentous occasion, I will set the scene for you.
Mar-riage: noun (mar-ij)
"a legally, religiously, or socially sanctioned union of persons who commit to one another, forming a familial and economic bond."
My husband and I got married in April 2013 after dating for 13 months. At first, we thought our "How We Met" story was kind of silly. However, we have both fully embraced that this is our story and kind of enjoy telling it now. We met at church (no that's not the silly part). At a singles function. Yup, the most cliché place to find a husband. Neither one of us were participating to hopefully find our future spouse, but that is exactly what happened. And I could not be happier!
Now almost 9 months into marriage, we have had to figure a lot of things out, like any typical newlywed. How to live together peacefully, speak each other's love language, be selfless, etc. But we just try to take it one day at a time and keep The Lord at the center of it all.
I'm sure you will learn so much more about me and my little family as the days go on, so I'm not going to give away all the juicy details. I hope you enjoy my corner of the interwebs as we figure out this thing called life together!
